FROM INJURY TO SUCCESS
MY
JOURNEY
After years of dedicating myself to classical ballet I faced injury… injury no one could explain, injury no one understood. It was isolating, frustrating, and it was my inevitable ending to my dreams of a professional career. What I didn’t know, was it was the beginning of my life’s work, the career I didn’t even know was calling me.
After attending college pursuing further education in piano performance, I decided to open a ballet studio. But I had a problem — I didn’t want my students to get injured like I was. I wanted them to be strong, resilient, and mentally able to advocate for themselves. Sure I had 16+ years of dance under my belt at the time, but I wanted more. Thus began my journey to obtain certifications to support my dancers. After adding in different types of cross training and mental training my students suddenly had higher jumps, more stable turns, and more stamina — all while reducing injury. I was amazed!! I kept pushing forward with these techniques and even developed a whole separate training class just for this purpose. After 7 years owning my studio I ventured North to Nashville Ballet and once again, tested my techniques with my students there. The results were undeniable.
Then I had a thought…
What if I could use these skills to train athletes also? What if, I combined the dance knowledge with the cross training with the mental practices and helped even more athletes succeed? So I did!
Now I train athletes full time! Now I witness athletes achieve higher jumps, faster reactions, more stability, quicker recovery, more energy, more control, and less injury every week. You can achieve these things too! Let’s work as a team and find out how far you can go!!
